Primeiramente quero agradecer a Stefanie Tschernuth pelo lindo website novo que tenho e quero comunicar que desde Abril quando a pandemia começou eu tenho trabalhado sem parar em novas produções musicais e feito colaborações musicais incríveis .Lancei os singles “Candomblé é sagrado”, Vidas negras importam” e “Cartagena” nesse período de pandemia.
Candomblé é Sagrado é um Samba que fala sobre a intolerância religiosa, uma questão muito delicada que afeta o mundo inteiro.No Brasil, a forma mais conhecida é o preconceito e a demonização do “Candomblé, que é o grupo de práticas religiosas vindo da África. Essas religiões de origem africana sofrem bastante preconceito no Brasil por parte de Igrejas neo pentecostais e inclusive em uma ocasião, após ser agredida em seu terreiro, a mãe Gilda, uma sacerdotisa já idosa, não suportou a infâmia e faleceu. Esse fato está relatado na letra da canção. A faixa conta com a participação de Cissa Paz nos vocais.
A canção “Vidas negras importam” como o próprio nome diz, é uma reflexão sobre as mortes de George Floyd nos EUA e João Pedro no Brasil e a força que o movimento “Black Life Matters” ganhou após esses assassinatos. A letra relata as injustiças sociais que ocasionam esse tipo assassinato, bem como a violência policial e a ascensão de governos fascistas no mundo. Lancei duas versões da canção nas plataformas, ambas produzidas por mim e por Alex Andrade. A versão (Alternativa) conta com a participação de Rafael Cardoso nos vocais.
Por fim, a canção “Cartagena” que eu ja havia gravado no álbum “Nordeste revival” tem uma nova versão com a participação de Rauldelis Cisneiros (Cuba) nas congas, Caro Cancion (Colômbia) no shake, Camilo Parra (Colômbia) na Flauta, Dariel Nissim (EUA) no tres cubano, Lucas Pondé (Brasil) no Baixo e Melo gia (Porto Rico) nos vocais junto comigo na voz e violão. Essa nova versão foi lançada em Junho e entrou para três playlist oficiais do Spotify e em 3 meses já conta com quase 80.000 audições.

First of all I want to thank Stefanie Tschernuth for the beautiful new website I have and I want to communicate that since April when the pandemic started I have been working non-stop on new musical productions and making incredible musical collaborations.
Candomblé is Sacred is a Samba that talks about religious intolerance, a very delicate issue that affects the whole world. In Brazil, the best known form is the prejudice and demonization of “Candomblé, which is the group of religious practices coming from Africa . These religions of African origin suffer heavily prejudice in Brazil by neo-Pentecostal churches and even on one occasion, after being attacked in her terreiro, mother Gilda, an elderly priestess, did not endure the infamy and died. Finally, the song “Cartagena” that I had already recorded on the album “Nordeste revival” has a new version with the participation of Rauldelis Cisneiros (Cuba) on congas, Caro Cancion (Colombia) on shake, Camilo Parra (Colombia) on Flute, Dariel Nissim (USA) on tres Cubano, Lucas Pondé (Brazil) on Bass and Melo gia (Puerto Rico) on vocals together with myself on vocals and guitar. This new version was launched in June and entered three official Spotify playlists and in 3 months it already has almost 80,000 auditions.
